Canvas layout design for your masionette

Print For Fun was tasked with the job of designing a wall to be filled up with canvas prints. The job brief was to design it in such a way that it incorporates the existing design that the client has, and also be able to add more canvas prints. The additional canvas prints need to also incorporate pictures from the newest addition to the client’s family.

After taking the measurements of the wall, both the width and the height, we immediately did up a mockup to understand the size and space we have. We have gotten a dropbox link with all the studio portraits and landscape our client has prepared for us. The brief was to “make it look good overall” and we took that seriously! After reviewing the photos available, we decided on 4 of them and started to test out the variations in terms of the positioning of the pictures and also the cropping to be done to ensure uniformity. A few rounds of edits led us to the following mockup. As these are clients’ pictures, we did not display the mockup with the actual pictures for privacy reasons. However, this below mockup is true to scale and it gives our client a good sense of what to expect before the installation.

Our client was initially a little worried about the installation time taken and if the spacing in between each canvas will be uniform. After reassuring him that our installer partners are professionals and have a lot of experience installing canvases, our client was comforted and the installation process was a breeze.
